What about the life of the person/persons who could be in the car being nudged is their life not important?
On our old estate the Fire Brigade posted a letter in everyone's door saying that if they needed to get through and cars were in the way then they would be "removed by any means required", including forcibly. A few people took this up with the Police and were told that as they were causing an illegal OBSTRUCTION OF THE HIGHWAY and that the Fire Brigade had issued a written warning then they would have to take this up with the Brigades insurer, if it happened, but that they would also be taking an interest in the obstruction question.
Nearly everyone found a sensible place to park!
You need to remember that you do not have a "right" to park on the road anywhere, including outside your house. Any car left on the Highway can be charged with Obstruction if the Police so desire, and they really wanted to be pedantic.
And your point about someone being injured because they might have been in the car is fatuous.
why is it fatuous to point out that if someone is in a car that is "nudged" by a vehicle of around 20 tonnes they may be injured?. As far as I am aware there is no law to prevent you from parking on a road where there are no parking restrictions as long as you are not causing an obstruction,I am aware that you do not have a right to park outside your house unless, that is you have a dropped kerb, in this case it is illegal for anyone other than the resident of the property to park there without the residents permission. many houses do not have a driveway or garage so the only optopn is to park on the road
As for the dropped kerb, there isnt much you can do if someone parks in front of your drive and you cant get on, you can get them towed away though if they are blocking you getting off your drive
