It is very quiet on the Nottingham webcam today. Have they flown the nest or just hiding under the camera?
Yesterday morning they were very active on the edge of the parapet and I thought they were about to jump off but I became bored and left. When I went back there was no sign of them. However, after dark last night there were at least 3 of them standing together like penguins on the parapet with mother close by.
Looking on Google street view there seems to be another parapet or flat roof below the one the nest is on so I am wondering if they have jumped down onto that.

The lone Norwich chick will be flying the nest soon. Perhaps in the next week or so.
The four Rochdale ones are growing fast.
I think there is still one left at Nottingham and maybe two at Sheffield...they keep hiding from the cameras
I thought the nest looked to be in a bit of a precarious position the last time I looked. The chicks don't seem to have anywhere to run and stretch their wings, and they don't seem to like being in the nest once it fills up with old bones and debris. If they step out of the nest it's a helter-skelter ride down that sloping roof straight through the hole in the wall.
The two chicks at Salisbury have both disappeared. I haven't seen them for days and they were nowhere near being able to fly. Hopefully they are just running around the parapet.
Despite laying several eggs only one hatched. The second chick was 'fostered' when it's parents (from a different area) were both found poisoned. Salisbury agreed to take one of the orphaned chicks and placed it in the nest. Both chicks seemed to be getting on ok together although the fostered one was considerably larger than the other. Let's hope nothing has gone wrong.
Only 1 chick hatched out of 5 eggs laid in Salisbury, the second chick is an orphan.
They keep wandering around instead of staying in the nest.

I managed to catch sight of them this afternoon. They do seem to have deserted the nest. Likewise at Nottingham and Sheffield. I don't blame them...it's a bit like a birds graveyard and must stink by now
I wonder who gets the job of cleaning up after they have gone?
Lots of activities in Salisbury right now, with one chick and both parents in sight.
