It's Bacardi actually and occasionally I accidentally leave one bottle on there and then I ask her to check the cupboard to see if we need something, and while she is out of the room I stick a couple of beers on

i was confronted by a slightly panicky customer this week bob, they had used your trick and put 8 bottles of wine on to keep the slot.

then forgot to remove them.

probably wouldn't have been that bad if it hadn`t been £115 per bottle....

It occurred to me only yesterday that if anything happens to me and I get rushed into hospital or something my wife may end up getting 3 bottles of Bacardi for the following 3 deliveries, so I now add a previous order to the basket which can be done with one click on the Tesco website and adjust it the day before delivery...at least she will get some food

Boots charging £35 for a washable face mask!!!!

I got ones online - there are plenty of websites selling them at about £10. These from Plumo are linen (can wash at 90 deg) & cool & comfortable to wear; we have 2 sets each (one on, one in the wash), in bright cheerful colours. The firm also donates to NHS charities, another reason I chose them. As I said, there’s plenty of choice online. (Plumo does children’s sizes too.)

-------------
2024 = 20 sites / 41 nights. 2023 = 9/23. 2022 = 13/35. 2021 = 11/29. 2020 = 4/20. 2019 = 13/35. 2018 = 20/33. 2017 = 10/22. 2016 = 19/33. 2015 = 15 sites / 27 nights. Didn't count 1976 to 2014.

It is funny how face masks are now becoming a fashion statement in different colours and patterns...and a price to match, even though they are still only made from old cast off dresses and 'T' shirts

Some months ago before the lockdown I invested in 20 disposable face masks for £15 which at the time I thought was expensive but less than £1 each.

More recently I bought a pack of two foam rubber ones with a valve in the side for £6.99. Not bad and can be washed but smell a bit and the valve is just a gimmick.

So, I have bought 4 KN95 masks which are supposed to be one of the best, for 99p each and they seem pretty good. However, I don't think they are washable so the idea is to alternate them, leaving the used one long enough for the virus to perish and then ditching them when they start to deteriorate. I actually have a similar one which I have used for gardening and other dusty jobs for years and it is still going strong so they should last a fair while.

I am amazed at the pricing difference for disposable masks, I bought a couple of boxes last week online, £5.99 for 50 and yet I see masks in the shops that look identical at a much higher price, even in the likes of Aldi and Home Bargains.
