I cycle daily in a large city in Cambs and too be fair see equally as many stupid cyclists as i do car drivers. I learned many years ago when I used to ride motorcycles that it doesn't really matter who's right or wrong, it matter who's gonna get hurt the most !!!
Cyclists running up the inside of cars at junctions is not inherently wrong but if the car driver don't see you it's still gonna hurt.
We do have an extensive network of cycle paths but most of them are in a pretty poor state of repair and go through some quite dodgy areas, because of this I choose to take my chances on the road, take a chill pill and enjoy the ride to work and back..

Hi horses have the same rights as Muppets on bikes but they have insurance, and are normally more curteous because they appreciate that you gave more room when overtaking them as they are animals which can be unpredictable

You don’t know the ignorant b at at tards round here. Most horses don’t have insurance, and the majority of horse owners in Rochdale don’t acknowledge anyone who stop or slow down for them. Any animal which is "unpredictable" shouldnt be out in public, and that applies to some drivers too

The problem with Horses on the road is the way they have a poo in the road. Anyone who rides a motorbike will tell you how dangerous that can be.

Ever tried passing a horse while on a bike? That's a nerve wracking operation, horses don't like small whirring machines coming up behind them. I always start with a friendly hail to the rider when I'm some distance back. I was knocked off my bike once by a stray cow running along a narrow lane and that wasn't pleasant, I'd hate to have a horse freaking out as I tried to pass it without warning.

So would I! Some years ago, a driver was killed in an accident with a horse. The horse was completely spooked by something and fell onto the car, the roof and windscreen were both smashed in and the driver died.

I think the horse died too, and the rider was injured.

My friend's son wrote his car off when a bull appeared in the (unlit) road one night and he hit it. The police had to be called, and they said they were always having to speak to the farmer about fixing his fences.

Well after another incident with an idiot in a car texting i have just ordered an all new singing and dancing helmet cam. The best bit is i can use it when out on my cyclocross too as it has a long battery life unlike my last one.

The police warn or caution offenders if you send them video evidence.

Those car drivers who seem to think they are the only ones entitled to use the road take note, if you do anything silly and its recorded it could cost you dearly.

Not a go pro, ive gone for the drift ghost hd. The reason is that i can mount it anyway i like and turn the lense to get it right.The battery is superb at 3 hours too oh and waterproof out of the box without extra covers needed.

I wear a flip top helmet so needed to think how i would mount it and this one allows a lot of configurations it seems.

Hi all these people with head cams are not all innocent, all you need to do is look on YouTube, where cyclists are just as bad if not worse when confronting other road users ,with bad riding you wonder their not more casualties ,you talk about the police warning drivers but not cyclists.

Yeah, exactly, a lot of the cyclists on youtube deliberately put themselves in a position where the motorist HAS to cut them up or ride too close.

What some of them dont realise is, that when they turn their head to film the car/van/bus passing them, that they are actually moving out to the right. This puts them further out into the road, and as the vehicle is already at the side of them and committed to passing, they cut in a bit too close to the cyclist to avoid the oncoming traffic.

Where does it say anyone is innocent ? Im off to work later and i bet i record someone on their phone while going in tonight or tomorrow. I shall post it later so you can see it from the scooter riders point of view.

It is common to see youths around us riding on the path or road with phone in one hand and earphones in! Idiots wobble all over the place.Soonthey will be doing itwithout lights as the nights draw in!
