On Wednesday the fitness course I have been doing for the last 12 weeks officially came to an end (officially, because unofficially the people who organised it are trying to give us as much help to carry stuff on as possible). Final total was a weight loss of 21kg (some 3 stone 5-6lbs ish).
Whilst I never stopped drinking coffee in this period, I did ditch alcohol and sweets, chocolate etc.
The biggest contributor though was the fact that I got of my rear end and did something.
Mike, congratulations on the weight loss.
I'm not saying coffee affects everyone in the same way, I originally posted the subject just in case there was someone out there that was in a similar situation to me.
I've been exercising for for several years on and off, even did several months of 2-3 hours a day. My weight was up and down all the time.
I tried eating salad for 4 months, exercising and still very little happened.
I'm on my feet, walking around for the best part of 10 hours a day so I'm no couch spud.
As long as my weight drops every week I'll avoid the coffee/caffeine.

Well done, as you loose weight your body needs less energy to carry it around your intake/output balance changes. Keep going and keep active and you will continue to amazed at what you can do. Also I did notice a cheeky admission to the diet last week and this can also take a week to show in your weight.
Well done again....keep going.

I thought I would post an update on my coffee intake.
We went to France for a couple of weeks in June and thought I'd spoil myself by having the odd mug of coffee. We were leaving home at 4am so I was up at 3 and made a coffee. One sip and it was down the sink, it tasted like water out of a soggy old log.
So, after 5 months I am still not drinking coffee.
As for my weight, I've had a few weeks where I have only dropped ounces and only one weigh in where I have actually gained weight, that was after I came back from France. I put 2 pounds on that fortnight.
Since I have stopped drinking coffee, I have lost 24 lbs. I'm now in the 19st bracket, looking forward to the next goal, to be 18st something.

2lb is nothing to quibble about, you will lose it. And we'll done. I need the inspiration to lose another stone. I do it 1/2 St at a time. I've lost 2 stone. Maintained that loss. Really need to lose more.
