I find it very strange the number of ex-smokers who write into this topic to criticise us vapers on our choice of nicotine intake.
Of the other topics in UKCS, although I have, in the past, owned and used several types of units, I just skim over these topics and only suggest an answer if I feel that I can help the enquirer of a particular question.
Far better that the answers come from someone that presently owns such a unit and therefore knows what they are talking about.
Answers about Electronic Cigarettes from those that have never Vaped are just total nonsense.
I can only speak for myself but I did not criticise vapers.
What I have done was reply to some of the statements you made.
In relation to nicotine intake, I would think even yourself would have to admit it has been proven to be addictive. So much so that the brain/body becomes dependent on it.
I would suggest you simply google "nicotine" and see the medical facts of what it does to your brain and body.
Once more I will say to each there own as was my decision to stop being dependent on anything smoking related.
Yes it was tough all these years ago but it has been worth it and was my decision but not everyones choice, which I also respect.
------------- It is a wise man who has something to say.
It is a fool who has to say something.
I moved over to vaping on February 28th using 12mg nicotine for a month. In April I cut it down to 6mg then May to 3mg.
Last week I went to 0 nicotine. Once I feel no need to puff/have something in my hand I will stop vaping.
Vaping has been the only method that got me off a 30+ year habit. I enjoyed smoking but it was affecting my fitness. Now, after 5 months, I am getting fitter, can taste and smell and don't stink of tobacco smoke.

For all those who mix their own e-juice, please be aware that after May 20th you will no longer be able to buy NicBase above 20mg.
This is a consequence of the new TDP ruling issued by Brussels.
There is every opportunity that this ruling will be scrapped after we leave the EU, but meanwhile it will be enforced and probably will remain so for some time.
The TDP also brings in rulings regarding the size of the equipment you can buy such as Tank Sizes etc.

Gosh! They'll have to top it up with a Woodbine or two.
Doesn't bother me. I haven't had a cigarette for a year and 4 days and haven't vaped since the end of July - my last post on this subject.
Basically I ran out of my Irish bought juice and bought some stuff in the UK. It was bowfing so I didn't touch it and found I didn't need it. No need for nicotine anymore at all.

Just grow my own tobacco plants in garden. Not illegal.Dry and press the leaves in a shed and bobs your uncle, 2 year's supply of Virginia rolling tobacco from 1 years plants. Save seed for a better crop next year. No chemicals and far less harmful at practically nil price. Plenty on internet if search made for growing your own tobacco. Pipes and cigs catered for by seed suppliers. A no brainier.
At the end of the day, after over 30 years smoking, I'd rather not have anything going into my lungs. I can breathe again and I'm fit again.

Love the idea but the two/three years drying process puts me off.

Dry in pairs of leaves over a string in the greenhouse as soon as harvested. Dried in weeks then put into a homemade frame between 2 inner blocks of ply and compress with g cramps. Ready for shaving into thin strips in a couple of months by use of a straight edge and craft or sharp kitchen knife. Can be rubbed as needed and rolled or put in a pipe depending on variety grown. I am smoking about 6 months after harvest ancestors the first harvest is done you will have enough to last until next year's harvest is pressed and ready for smoking. Worth trying, good luck

I don't know the people who started this topic, but over the years it has no doubt saved the health and the wealth of quite a few members and it clearly is of interest to many, judging by the amount of good and bad comments on it.
