I am undecided on what has happened or who did what or who is guilty/innocent.
However, after reading this thread I've just watched the press conference and not one tear dropped from either of their eyes when they were "crying"........

Re the McCanns, apperently the kids were through IVF so must have been wanted, so why then leave them in the hotel room unattended to have a meal, I don't understand that at all.
Hopefully losing a child like they have is punishment enough, I don't have massive sympathy for them re the situation but would not wish anyone to lose a child.
Parents don't seem to understand children are children and need guidance and supervision, near us parents let kids as young a 4 out on their bikes no helmets etc parents have no idea where they are. We have seen so many near misses with cars. It starts with one useless parents and others cant say no to there children when they want to do the same. Sorry but your the parent you say no and no means no.
Before anyone says anything I am a dad to 2 children IM by no means a perfect Father, but I try my best, I know where they are what they are doing etc.
Regarding these fire people it beggars belief but, knowing some things about these type of people it wouldn't surprise me if were on drugs or drink and have no concept of normal life.
Yes innocent until proven guilty most deffinatly, but some people seem to make that hard to do, look at there life style hardly good moral ground for all those kids.
Just my 2 pence worth.

From the off i voiced my concerns to my partner that i wondered if the parents had started the fire to cause some damage to enable a house move. I do not believe they meant it to harm the children but it obviously took hold quicker than they planned.
Then when i watched the press conference i once again said about the body language & although upset i know that had been me losing one child no way would i have been as composed as the parents were.
The police do these press conferences to help them assist with looking at relatives to see if there are any clues to if they are involved.
I hope if they are proven to be the murderers they get all they deserve in prison.
I feel for the other siblings who have lost their brothers & sister.

My own take on this is that they thought they would create a bit of fire damage downstairs so they could get a bigger council house,but it all went drastically wrong and the fire took hold a lot quicker than the had imagined.
Looks like they will get a bigger house now,probably Wakefield prison.
No doubt if convicted they will have to be kept in solitary for their own safety.

Well it didn't seem to take them long to charge them after they were arrested so they must have pretty compelling evidence to do so surely?
I agree the Press conference didn't ring true. Terrible for the children.

It will an interesting court case. For murder, intent has to be proved otherwise it would be a lesser charge of manslaughter. Although it might be argued that they set the house on fire with no intention of killing the children, if it can be proved that they should have known their actions would have likely brought about the deaths then it would be murder.

If their aim was to set the house on fire to get a bigger house surely they would have done it at a time when the children were not there.

Those poor children and those siblings left behind, having to live with the fact your parents killed your brothers and sisters.
If they did and are found guilty,I'm sure they will get all they deserve in prison from other inmates, but the biggest torture of all having to live with the fact every day, that you killed your kids, ok they probably didn't mean to kill them, but kill them they did, and I hope it eats them up everyday for the rest of their miserable lives.
