Just dont give him any medication beforehand unless advised by the ward doctors as this may delay his treatment. they normally just give them a whiff of gas to start with and administer any IV drugs after hes fallen asleep in the pre-op room. he may be abit drowsey for around 12hrs afterwards, even if he looks awake, and you will need to watch things like he doesnt fall off the sofa, or down a couple of steps that he would normally manage fine.

They will provide you with full after-care instructions on the ward, and he should be back to normal foodwise within a week of having this done, in the meanwhile, soft foods and cool drinks should help him heal up quickly.

My son is having 6 milk teeth extracted,  only because his adult teeth are growing in the wrong direction. This will encourage the teeth to grow in the correct direction.  Will be having a brace.

They informed me, that it would be done in two sessions.   The reason is;  that they would have to inject different parts of the mouth.  My son is having a local,  at the dentist.

12 teeth is alot, at the same time,  poor little thing.  He will be pain free, eventually.  Good luck to both of you.

This is horrendous, he'll hardly have any teeth left (my son didn't finish teething until 3 1/2).

How will he eat?
