It is just 2 weeks outside the guarantee period and has stopped working. The display just says "turn printer off" thats it! HP want £67 to exchange the printer for a reconditioned one. This printer will come with a 30day guarantee. Will this one get 2 weeks past that date and stop working?
I have had quite a few printers and have never had problems with canon or lexmark, but will never buy another HP product again. Their customer service is shocking, ignorant snotty emails which basically say "your problem, not ours"
Modern technology!! who needs it?
I am now looking for a very cheap basic printer for the kids homework etc.

had the same problem,i use a good quality cleaner. also as a tip never switch off an epson printer and use an ink tank.when you switch on and off, you use alot of ink that is dumped into the printer i hope this has helped.
Switch off the printer, then unplug the printer leave for 10mins, this clears any PC to printer instructions and memory. plug in then switch on, compat/catridges will now be reccognised. Also always switch the printer OFF after use, this stops the heat that dries the ink in the heads. Works with our 2 Epson printers. Jock
