Has anyone used it recently. We never have. Have avoided St Ives the last few years since they built the leisure centre in the car park at the top of the hill, because of the lack of space and the cost.
OH wants to go there this time we are in Cornwall and is saying about using the park and ride. Anyone used it, whats the parking like at Lelant and what are the prices like.
Thanks

OH fancies doing the train along the coast. Always wanted to do it but it was cheaper to park at the top and walk. But that as I said was before the leisure centre opened.

We've used the Lelant P & R many times. It can get quite full on busy periods but there is a grass overflow area.
Trains are regular and quick and the ride along the coast is very pleasant.
I have also caught the trains at other stations along the line, but you have to remember to stick your hand out!
It is the only way, as far as I am concerned for getting into St Ives now, especially with their very strict parking controls.

We used the Park and Ride when we stayed with the C&CC at St. Ives Rugby Club. It was a regular service and even let me take our dog on with us, you park in the bottom part of the Rugby Club grounds. Definitely recommended.

we've started using St Erth station (first (or last) station on the line), can be busy, but not too bad a price (parking and ticket)
Definately worth it for the views over the beaches on the way and St Ives itself
Andy.

There's a thought - park at St Erth station and go in from there.
