We bought a dog car harness today from Aldi and have followed the instructions to the letter. We have a concern that the padded part that goes through the legs the chest sits right up to the dogs throat and seems

sorry..hit wrong button. seems quite tight around that area no matter how you adjust the straps and think that if we were in an accident it would choke the dog..We bought medium and she is a Border Terrier and there is loads of adjustment in the straps but can't seem to get a better fit. Anyone else bought one of these from Aldi.

May be the next size up should do it sounds as it is the wrong size

I would say you've bought the wrong size. You say there's loads of adjustment in the straps yet it's up near his throat so chances are he needs a small size. I wouldn't buy a medium for a Border Terrier personally they're classed as small. Take it back and change it i bet the small one will be a much better fit.

We got one from Aldi last year and it fits fine on our highland terrier, maybe have another go or return it and get a different size.

I have the medium which I use on my border collie and it's a great fit so I would say for a border terrier you need the next size down

Hi bought a No pull Harness from ALDI, I've a springer spaniel pup 11 months old ,I find it does fit properly either ,it keeps loosen up on him,had him walking by liffey he got in and we nearly lost harness in water he almost got out of it. It says on packaging medium is for springer spaniel any advice please or more instructions as package was open in shop and not much on packaging

We have an aldi no pull on our lab. It doesn't loosen but it isn't as good as a hilti.

I bought a medium for our whippet to wear in the car. It fits fine. Perhaps you have the wrong size, as others have suggested.
