looking for a campsite in north wales that will take a group of 17-18 year olds and it cant be shell island as that is a bit of a mish away any help would be highly appreciated :D
Golden Sunset camping fields at Benllech on Anglesey, don't mind youngsters as long as they are well behaved. Just turn up and pitch where you like, £7 per night for tent campers, and it's only a few minutes walk away from the village shops and pubs.

I stay at Rynys now and again, just outside Betws-y-Coed. Once I remember a very bedraggled group of teen hikers arriving, looked like they might be doing Duke of Edinburgh award or something, so they must take groups. have a look in the site reviews section and check their website - www.rynys-camping.co.uk - might be worth giving Carol there a ring. They do have a strict 'quiet after 11pm and no campfires' policy though! £7.50 a person this summer; clean facilities, good views and informal layout, not rigidly marked pitches.
------------- Always edited for sloppy typing - when I spot it!
We've been to Wern Isaf , Llangollen and on the last trip there were a few tents with younger campers doing d of e awards.
On a previous trip there was a tent with a couple of teenagers in, and they were so well behaved they shamed some of the adults that turned up on the saturday for a 1 nighter drinks party in a tent
