Years ago my parents hired a Broads boat which had some strange goings on.I was about 12 at the time and it was probably the worst two weeks of my life.

My father was starting the diesel heating system one evening and somebody brushed past him into the front cabin.When he had started the heating he went to the front cabin to see if it was me or my brother,no-one there.

All through the fortnight there was this strange eerie feeling about the boat,day or night.Sliding doors would open,noises the lot.

One night we moored out in the sticks,there was only our boat.During the night a storm came,high winds, rain, thunder and lightning.Me and my brother sat up all night on our beds holding our pen knives.Absolutely bricking it.

When we got back to the boatyard one of the workers asked how our holiday had been and my father asked him if anything had happened on the boat.The chaps smile went from his face and said "I don't want to talk about it" and walked off.

The boat was called Admiral 7 from Broomes at Brundall.I'll never forget.

I've had quite a few strange encounters, I've seen a little girl in my house.
