Have been getting prepared for the bad weather here in Lowestoft and it is brilliant sunshine with ble skies... Not that I am complaining! Where is all the rain?
Hope anyone caught in it are safe and not getting too wet under canvas.
I think the met office are hedging their bets. We got no warning about the intensity of the northeast storms that descended at rush hour last Thursday. I think they're so terrified of being caught with their pants down again they're putting warnings out where there's a remote chance of showers, they do the same with snow. We were expecting heavy rain over night but it never came.
Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. We have just driven back from South Devon to our home in Somerset and the roads are flooded from Honiton to the A303. It is raining cats and dogs here and has been since yesterday afternoon.
Mmm yes, it was horrendous. The water is barrelling off of the hills straight onto the A30 in countless places and the drains are like geysers, shooting water straight up!
I am your way on Thursday as I have some blood tests being done at the Bath Clinic at Claverton. When I came to see the endocrinoligst there on 1st May it was all flooded as we ate lunch at the Dundas Aquaduct and the river had burst its banks.
I went to a Steam Fair & Heavy Horse show not too far from Northampton. I got sunburn it was so hot. There was a heavy quick shower then I steam dried..Friend in Somerset asked if I was abroad as it was quite different there.

We've had two days of beautiful warm sunshine, and I'm not complaining. We've been out at a charity carnival with the miniature train and portable track today, and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the sunshine.
Yes I spoke too soon! Been at my Daughters football tournament all day and I think the rain left off for about half an hour. We have come home very wet and muddy!
