I've got a Dell laptop too, and mine is the opposite.... I swear sometimes the cursor moves when I don't even make contact!!! If you've just bought it, ring Dell for advice, they're very helpful.

Our Inspiron is probably the best computer we've had. That's across several Acers, Sonys, and HPs.
The touchpad on ours looks no different to the gloss case, but is in fact a matt finish.
Hi Mike same as mine,it it so annoying when you spend over 400 bucks and the thing does not seem right.PS im on my old acer just now..
I've got one too, mine is ok for moving the curser, but the only thing I can't get used to is that the curser also does a myriad of other things including the same action as the right click on a mouse, so often I lose what I was doing if I rest my fingers on it, it also goes off and scrolls willy nilly and the text etc grows bigger and smaller if I sometimes slide my fingers lol!
I don't have problems with track-pads, but hubby does and he always uses a little wireless mouse.
(I hate Christa too - that false 'sincere' pout she has really makes me feel violent, and if she says 'you know' once more I may act on those feelings!!!!)

Well Scampi she's known at various times in our household as "the pouting orange pik"," the orange clothes horse", and the friing lightweight lump of mutton". Sorry I need to go and get one of my little blue pills now.

Christa lives just down the road from me and she uses the same small local shop and they all say what a bitch she is making all sorts of demands as if she was something special Ian
