I want to buy some wooden blinds.
I've measured twice to be sure and am ready to give someone an order but don't know who is a good company.
There are some horror stories out there, so the question is this: have you bought wooden venetian blinds recently and were you happy with the quality, delivery time, price and customer service? If yes, what was the company? Ta!!

Havent bought wooden blinds but i bought venetian blinds for the whole house from UK Blinds, I had used them before for my vertical blinds in the conservatory and been pleased with the quality, price and service. I just looked them up on the internet put in my contact details and they contacted me. I think it was about 5 weeks from order to delivery.

I had several sets fitted last winter by Hillarys blinds, first class service, and they came out and measured up and fitted them within about a week of taking our call.
Most of ours were the verticle as they dont seem to gather the dust as much as the horizontal ones do, but we did go for the wooden ones in the kitchen although its just two small windows of about a metre square each.

We had Hillarys. Not the cheapest but look nice and came out when we wanted them and payment options were good.

I bought from BlindsUK.net, they sent me free samples of the different shades of white wooden blinds they do and the staff were very helpful on the phone. We bought the 2 inch wide wooden blinds with vertical ribbon, and have been very happy with them. They were also very simple to fit and were much cheaper than the quote from a local supplier.

I'd definitely be wary of the cheaper websites...I bought a 'made to measure' wooden venetian blind and it was basically a larger blind cut down...they hadn't even stained the ends to match the rest of the wood. The ends were chipped and splintered...could have cut one down better myself!

Again l would say Hilarys, lots of fabrics to choose from and a wide range of fitting styles, they will even match curtains with blinds to make a set by picking out a shade from the curtains to tone. As above, always haggle and ask if they have any special offers when you book a visit.

we were recommended www.blinds4uk.co.uk by a neighbour/friend and can highly recommend them. You can order free samples and think it was about 2 weeks after placing order that the blind arrived.
Hubby said it was a lot easier to put up than expected. Our neighbours used them again reticently and one of the blinds wasn't correct but they dealt with the issue well and replaced the blinds with an upgrade for free.
