Come on Kimmie, it is only the over 80's who are doing all these exciting things these days. The others are all still at work and will be nearly 70 before they get their pensions!!
One of the ladies on TV the other night was trying to get someone to take her wing walking, but she had to settle for abseiling down tower blocks. I think she was 90+.

We can very easily understand the proper James Bond. But there are lots of people out there that would struggle to understand him. Its a pity because he is james bond.

I saw macca last December at the O2 for the first time i am not a fan but went and he was amazing, I mean fantastic, but sadly he wasn't so good at the opening ceremony.
But he is iconic, so I assume that's why he was given the job. When I get to his age I hope I can jump around and dance like him, only 30 more years to go.

This bond is the best ever, probably more down to the films being better though.

Jumping around and dancing is fine but it is proven he can't keep singing the same old songs. lol.
Why doesn't Macca just stick to the jazzy stuff he did not long ago, I like that one he did....think it was....my valentine.....now that was better suited to him.
Elton is going the same way.....can't reach the high notes anymore.
I am not saying they are not iconic and they are worthy of recognition it's just they need to keep their dignity.

Dreading the closing ceremony as we have blur playing. As much as I used to like them they were dire live a few weeks ago, really dire!

Everyone that has mentioned Queenies lack of a smile. I personallly only saw the cameras on her about 4-5 times throughout the 3 hours ++ apart from a long long day for them both at their age in all probabilities they would be in slumberland long ago. If they have been on the go all day I would of been ker-nackered by the evening. The cameras should of stayed off them both giving them a break from always having to have a grin like a cheshire cat on their faces. They are doing very well for their age and its a long year for them both this Jubilee year. It was enjoyable, watchable and killed a few hours whilst I wait to go on my next camping trip. By the way the yanks & NBC removed all the section of Abide with me to their audiences as it was not saleable. So how much was cut from their audiences I have no idea. Except there was more people watching the opening ceremony this time than the last 2 Olympics; which included their own of Atlanta.

Agree with you totally Beanpark. How many of the audience would have had a grin from ear to ear every time the cameras were on them? Its not as tho 'Liz & Phil' would have been told when to smile for the cameras. I only hope I can be like them when I'm in my eighties/nineties.

Whilst I agree with you both, she didn't even smile when entering the stadium and sitting down. Or when doing her address to open the games. Both times she would have known the camera's were on her. The Queen has a lovely smile and it was just a shame it never appeared (or not when we were looking anyway)
