in our garden we have a small fish pond, app' 4' x 4' x 2' , there's a water lily and 2 koi carp in there as well as a small fountain/ filter. my problem is that over the last few days i have noticed a lot of white, frothy, foam appearing on the surface, which i have been removing by scooping it off the surface with a small fishing net. it seems to get worse the warmer the weather is, i was wondering if there are any fish / pond keepers on ukcs that may have an idea of what is causing the problem and how to cure it, my initial thought was that there must be some kind of aeration problem causing the fish to gasp in warmer weather ,thus causing the foaming. as warm water holds less oxygen than cold but the pond pump is running continuosly and the water surface is constantly moving. any ideas anyone ?
------------- no tin tent outings booked as yet ,just another cruise in Sept' booked so far
