The socket is not so good these days. The lead is very lose in the socket.

Can you get the socket replaced in the back of the machine? Would rather do that than get a new lappy

I would have thought most computer shops could do it.
Not sure about PCWorld or Currys - I was thinking of proper shops.

Try a local independant computer shop. Pc world will try to sell you a new laptop.

yup OH laptop went down due to the socket
she had the bugger 5 years that's the only problem ever
acer laptop been bloody bomb proof more than i can say for my pc

alas i could brag no viruses but had to remove one yesterday (dam nephew and bloody apps for music on black bury)

other than that non compared to over 200 between the 3 main pcs

payed 60 for hers to be replaced.
at a small pc repair place
