I just wondered if there is anyone in my area, around my age who is looking for a camping buddy? So i guess next i should tell you some stuff about me......here goes.

Well incase my username isn't a give away my name is Faye, i'm 29 and female. I live in Liverpool, so anybody from Merseyside or Cheshire would be ideal for me as a camping pal. I would prefer another girl as i would just feel more at ease and i think its important to get to know each other first, we don't want tension in the tent lol. I enjoy reading and going out walking (i'm not a hiker) and i also enjoy camping, although i've only ever been to festivals, but that is where i caught the camping bug. I would like to try and get out camping about 3times next summer in various camp sites across the uk to start with and unless you have a car then we would travel by coach or train. Anyway i will leave at that for now if there is anything else you want to know then just ask, i promise i wont bite!

PS - I already have a tent, it is a Gelert Colima 3TD.

Faye hi, have a look at the solo & single camper meets we are great bunch. Most stay in the Midlands, i am a bit further north

Haha i wouldn't bother getting the binoculars, by the looks of it i'm about as popular as the plaque! Ah well it is a good thing i don't mind my own company.

hi faye.. dont worry. some people will get in touch with you. as it is holiday season. most could be away camping right now. and of those. some may be solo campers. if the hubby allows them. not all solo campers are single. lots are married. good luck to you anyways.  i will get my spy glasses and also look for the end of the queue. mick.. make some space for me. and i will tell my wife to make us some fresh coffee. maybe is we can get a good crowd to join us we can have a new camp site. all looking for faye.

Hi Sesh, sorry its taken me nearly a year to reply but the site didn't notify me at all that you had contacted me! And yes i am still looking for a camping buddy and don't worry about the distance, it should just make it more fun. I won't be going anywhere until next summer now as this year funds have been tight due to being out of work and a student, but i'm hoping to snag a part time job before long or a paid placement for my course which would be even better! Also i'm currently tentless, long story short i loaned my tent out and it has been torn and set on fire, safe to say i'm not a happy bunny, but not much i can do except to try and get a new tent.
