How can you compare Blackpool to St Ives My other half comes from up there and I have been. Sorry but I wouldn't even want to walk on the beaches there, they look filthy and the sea hardly invites you in for a swim, cant even see your feet. YUK! (it could have changed of course)
Whereas St Ives beaches are clean pale sand and clear clean waters. I know which one I would rather swim in
Oooops! sorry we arn't talking about beaches are we, but towns. All the same I can't see any similarity between St Ives and Blackpool town, shops and little back streets.
I quite like Seaford, uncommercialised with good walking, and that view of the Seven Sisters.
I was thinking of moving to Seaford (I live in Lewes), but it's surprisingly rough and yobby at night.
Lovely during the day though. I often stop for a cuppa at the coffee kiosk down by Martello tower, where they have tables out on the beach.
that suprises me tbh it seems such a nice place!!
We often park up towards Buckle Camping pk and walk along to that coffee kiosk, I love thos beach huts. and the kids like to go and either climb the hill, or jump around on rocks at the end just past the huts.

Campers do it in the mud!
Hubby says we can't camp as much this yr mmm we'll see!!
camped in 2009= 27nights
Booked for 2010 = 30 nights.
I love to be by the sea and lucky enough to live 2 mins walk from a beach (Seaton Carew) I love most of the seaside towns we've been to but my favourite (not really a town) is Lulworth Cove closely followed by Weymouth,I love to go there when we can.
There are too many in Cornwall to list! North norfolk coast has some lovely ones too. South coast i like Bournemouth as central to some great places. Whitstable is lovely on north Kent coast, Sandwich is nice on south Kent coast
Blackpool LOL ! Had my stag do there and was in good company that is all I would say. Makes Southend on Sea look like Cannes by comparison these days
ingolgmells linconshire .only jocking .its the local place to day trip ....i like southsea near portsmouth . quite, but near a big town, ships pass by ,irle of white close to. glyn
