AFunnily enough, not with Chrome, but with AOL. Have just been given a brand new laptop and have configured it tonight. With AOL downloaded onto the laptop, we can sort of watch video on you tube, but it is very, very slow and we do not get the control bar under the video panel. Therefore we cannot see how the download is progressing, nor can we stop it at any point or go to a particular point in the video. Very frustrating. Bizarrely, when we accessed youtube via google, the videos appear as they always have; complete with control panel. As an aside, for years now we have struggled with writing text onto this forum. The cursor does not display and none of the arrow buttons work ie to travel back along a line of text, or forward or up or down a line. the only buttons that work are backspace and delete. Anyone else experience this? This is not unique to our computer, it has been a characteristic of this site with every computer we have used.
