Hi guys, I am looking to upgrade my contract phone and wondered if anyone could advise me which to get. I know the Samsung Galaxy S3 is the newer model but is there anyone of you have upgraded from S2 to the S3 and could tell me which one I should go for? By the way there is not much difference in contract price between them both.

I finally got it all together, then forgot where I put it ;)
I have an S2, and tbh, there's nothing it doesn't do that I want it to.
But, if there was very little difference in price I would go for the S3, just cos its the newest one.

June - Wharfedale CC Grassington
I have the S3, my son (who is young enough to know about such things) has the S2 and he is gutted because he says the S3 is faster and slicker of the two.
If you have the choice go for the newer one After all they aren't in the business of superseding downwards are they?
Hi
Ive got the S2 (love it) i was told the S3 is aimed at gamers!! its got better graffics but apart from that is almost the same as the S2!!!! and my S2 was alot cheaper thats why i didnt go for S3
There's quite a difference between the two but if they're within a fiver in price then it has to be the s3. It's currently the fastest phone on the market. Not that in the real world you could really tell the difference.
My upgrade is due next month so it will be that or the forthcoming htc one x+ for me.

I do wonder sometimes why these are called phones. It seems these devices are used and capable of doing everything possible but rarely get used for their supposed primary purpose, which is to make a call.

I rarely use mine for phone calls, maybe 10 mins a month.
I use it a lot as a camera, email, for Facebook and twitter, reading the news and this forum and of course, quite a few texts. I also watch television on it or listen to radio and dock it to my music player. Oh I play angry birds too! It's also a sat nav, though my car has one built in its handy when in a strange town on foot.
Could I do without it? Probably, but I'd imagine those that have always had phones would feel like their arm was missing without now.

Hi if you use it a lot for surffing etc and can get use to the size the Note is worth looking at. I changed from a S11 to the Note and wouldnt go back as while its not for everyone as its quiet wide I find it great
Both me and the OH have the S2 - he got his first and I was so impressed with it that when my own phone went tits up I got this one as a replacement. I am due for upgrade in June and I am looking at the S3 but tbh there is nothing wrong with the one I have.
The majority of my phones have either been Samsung or Nokia but since Nokia have gone to Windows they are not as good - I had one of those Lumia things for 4 days before I sent it back and got the S2.
I think Samsung are great regardless of which handset you get - lets face it they are always on top of technology thats why there are so many to choose from.
