After a helluva week - last Monday central heating sprung a leak so hubby had to dismantle it, do a welding/soldering job once the tiny pin prick was found, put everything back together and then run pressure tests so we were without heating and hot water for three days. Thursday the car wouldn't start while I was at the supermarket but I thought it was just temper as I had had disagreement in the shop, car ran ok all weekend so hubby didn't check it but yesterday we had everything packed ready to go to the caravan for a well earned break, tried to start the car and - nothing -. it was turning over but wouldn't fire. It then started but obviously something wasn't right so took it to a garage for a diagnostic check to be told a sensor had gone, £150 for repair. Car was left at garage and should be ready by 3pm. Great as we could still get away. 3pm came and went and still no car. Eventually we got a call at 7pm to say they had just managed to get the sensor out anad we could pick the car up at 10.30 today.Hubby was at the garage before 10.30 and car was ready but because of the time it took to get old sensor out charge was now £200. Still it was necessary and at least there was no charge for the central heating last week. We arrived at the caravan by lunchtime and I have just switched on the laptop and found IHAVE WON A TOILET TENT. This is the first time I have ever won anything and although we have now changed the tent for a caravan my niece still enjoys camping so it will be well used.

Thank you UK campsite. Thanks for reading my woes.

Hi idpdmp,

There are so many in my family, all nieces and nephews, that camp I'll be able to hire it out. They all think I.m a wimp now I've gone to a caravan but time will tell when they reach retirement. Mind I've still got my tent, just in case.

Hi moleymic,

I was just so pleased to get the car back so that I could get away I didn't want to argue.

The season is just about at an end now so every second counts.

At the moment I'm sitting in the van with a brandy, hubby is in bed and it's chucking it down and I feel GOOD. The season ends on this site (seasonal pitch) at the end of this month so I've just got to make the most of it. Roll on next March.

Dear UK Campsite.co.uk. Im down on my luck lately, had a fairly rotten summer of wet weather tenting, spent a bleeding fortune coz of this. Can't manage even one number on the lottery never mind six.   Any chance of slipping me a little something? Ive been entering your compo's for over 48yrs now and not had a sniff. I'll have the 30 day luxury Carribean cruise that you've stashed away for this years grand christmas draw.
p.s. My Goldfish have had a bad dose of the flu aswell.

(seems to work on the xfactor & BGT)
