Hi folks

After a sort while without a camper after selling our Bambi ,
My wife saw a Rickman Rancher Campervan up for sale we went see it and brought it straight away now its no more damp grass and hard rocks lol

Rickman were Don and Derick Rickman former moto scramble riders when I was a young fella [years ago]they had a motorcycle place in Hampshire used to make motorbike frames and frame kits, went into small GRP car kits from what I remember. Always wanted a Triumph Rickman Mettise, Mettise meaning French for mongrel

Doubt it. Think they were based on RWD Escort mechanicals.

Rickman built their own ladder frame chassis, to which you then fitted (mostly) Escort engines, gearboxes, axles etc, although I have seen a Rover V8 version. Various bodies were available, both long and short wheel base, all in a "mock" 4x4 style.
A few clever people did modify a Suzuki chassis to fit but it is not easy to do.
There are often lots of Rickman Rangers on sale on Ebay.
