My doctor is giving me a course of Acupuncture for headaches. I have never had Acupuncture before and would love it to work. Has anyone any experience and were the results good?
Had it in my ears and it did make me feel better but I think some of it may well be that you placing your trust with the person sticking pins in you and that process of granting trust is liberating and makes you feel better. Not sure the above makes sense but if it works for you go for it, if not don't fret over it and try something else such as meditation or yoga.

Never tried it myself, but a couple of people I know have; both said it worked, one said very well and the other said it helped - but no more than that.
I'm always reminded of a quote in a book - "If you keep sticking needles in someone when they're complaining, sooner or later they'll stop complaining..."

after being caught up in a road side explosion in S Arabia I suffered for a long time from very severe migrain. My GP asked if he could try Acupuncture on me as he had just completed a course on its use.
He treated my twice at an interval of a week and I have never had a relapse.
Give it a try as it is a science NOT a faith thing.
Interesting reading as to the effectiveness and scientific aspects. NHS and NICE also have some information that might help in deciding if it is for you.

I was on the fence regarding acupuncture, but my vet recommended it for my dog! And it worked, so there must be something in it, as unlike humans animals cannot be lulled into a placebo effect.

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
Had a course for migraine and I was migraine free for quite a while afterwards. Also had it for wrist problems which it didn't make much difference to. I would certainly give it a go again. Didn't find it painful at all, even the needles in my face! Try it, you haven't got anything to lose exceptt the headaches!
Had it for tennis elbow and it didn't seem to do a lot. Still ended up with steroid injections. It was quite painful when she stuck one in near my thumb too, although she did warn me that it would be sore in advance.

They also die if you leave them in the freezer.
