Just got an HTC one X on virgin mobile. Has anybody got one of these and got any tips on saving battery power? Ive been losing a lot of power over the last few days sine I got it but never really thought much about it as you always 'play' with the phone and bound to lose more power in the early days. However, I hardly used the phone yesterday other than the video camera at night, gave it a full overnight charge till 7 this morning, but at 11 half the battery was gone without using the phone. I know there are a lot of Apps on there that dont seem to get used and I have thought of deleting them, but I dont know which ones to remove.
So, what should I disable or delete to try and save power?
Thanks for you help guys/girls.

I have one, and they are not the best when it comes to battery life.
I use mine a lot, and it needs charging daily, sometime during the day on the 12v charger. (I'm an HGV driver.) If I use the internet, I can literally see the battery draining before my eyes, despite everything being turned off.

The only way to increase battery life is to get rid of the bloatware that is added on by the operators, I have an HTC desire that needed charging twice a day till I rooted the phone and loaded an Android O/S
and now at the end of the day I have only used 40% of the battery. It's not for the faint-hearted but well worth it in battery saving. There are plenty of instruction on the net. Rooting an Android
Cheers Quinny, they dont tell you that in the shop do they. I went for the HTC as iit was virtually identical if not slightly better than the Galaxy S3, but virgin wanted a £19 upfront fee for the S3 whereas the HTC was completely free. I guess Im going to have to get used to a daily if not twice daily charge up-saying that, Im still in my 14 day cooling off period.

I have the HTC Wildfire and when I got it the guy in Carphone Warehouse told me never to charge it overnight as you can "cook" the battery. He said it should never be charged for more than 4 hours at a time but that it will need charging quite regularly. I don't know if this is the same for the OneX. I find mine lasts about 2 days on a full charge (depending on how much I use it of course).

Yes it is Android but with out the bloatware (you only add the apps you want or move them off the main memory) I only have the minimum software running, the rest is on my memory card for when I want it. I know the X has a large internal memory but it can be partitioned to create more memory for the basic working, hence less battery use
Batteries are designed to stop taking charge once fully charged. Cooked batteries for crying out loud, about what I would expect from Carphone Warehouse.
i have an htc desire i found if you go to settings then accounts & syncs turn of background data this will save a lot of battery mine had to be charged through the day now i can get up to 2 days depending on use
I have an HTC One X, I made it last 4 days once! Make sure your wifi, bluetooth, GPS and mobile internet are all turned off, don't have the screen up to full brightness if you know you won't be able to charge it and if you're an area where you know you won't get signal for a lengthy amount of time switch it onto airplane mode.
