99% of the time in modern houses with cavity walls the problem is condensation and normally manifests itself in a top/bottom corner or behind furniture where air circulation is poor. Also if the plaster on the wall has been emulsioned this can also cause problems as the fabric of the building cant breathe combine this with modern double glazing and houses are pretty much sealed till you open a door or window so any damp air gets trapped inside. In a bedroom if it is actually damp then the cause of the problem needs to be found and rectified ie leaking gutters

All these so called "Mould removers" contain Sodium Hypochlorite which is household bleach so why waste money on fancy packaging when your supermarket cheapo bleach will do the same job

because a cheapo bleach doesnt do the same job as easily.

No.1 son left home yesterday, and I actually got in his room at last. Black mould up the sides of the window and all over the rubber on the double glazed units. Will need a good clean and possibly a paint round the windows.
Tonight I moved a storage unit in No.2 son's room to the now spare empty room to give him more space and had the fright of my life. A patch of mould over a foot square where his surf board had rested. Disgusting.
Neither likes a window open or the radiator on. Its all that electrical equipment they've had on heating up the room. What is it with youngsters and not wanting a window open.
Looks like two rooms to decorate after mould treatment.
