Well after reading through reviews I have opted for the Tassimo machine, I have bought the cheapest one at £49, thought I would get the cheapest incase I didn`t like it or use it. it might be false economy and I might move on to a Gaggia in time. In the mean time I will enjoy trying the different hot drinks this winter.
I tried the Costa Americano and poured in some fresh cream with Amarreto, it was lovely. I have ordered online tonight lots of different coffees and hot chocolates. So I am looking forward to trying them with a few of the christmas spirits.
The Milka hot chocolate is lovely. So is the Suchards with 2-3 after eights melted in then squirts cream on top.
I bought the £49 T20 one and so happy with it.
Going to try Cointreau and terry choc orange melted in coffee & hot chocolate. .
It's one of our small luxuries at night same as a hot water bottle :)
Glad you are enjoying.
Would love to hear your recipes too.
Hi folks, been using my Lidl espresso machine this last couple of days, my x-mas present from mrs Francais.
And I have to say that it makes a dam fine cup of coffee, I was quite amazed that I can get that coffee shop taste, even better depending on the coffee I use.
Turns out the Lidl machine is a Delonghi model branded SilverCrest for Lidl, from what I can tell it is the Delonghi EC220 the previous Lidl model was more like the Delonghi EC 152
Well done Lidl for getting such a good piece of kit to market for £39.99
Got to say for the money I am quite impressed with the Tassimo. Had a kenco one today with cream with brandy in it, loved it.
Jana the choc orange sounds yummy, bought some hot chocs so will try that. Going to have a hot choc with brandy in it tomorrow (la mumba). Think I might even have a few Irish coffees.
I registered the machine on the Tassimo site and got £20 off my order so well stocked up on coffee and chocolate.
my mum bought a gaggia coffee make and the matching coffee grinder ( they sat together on a purpose built brown very 1980's tray ) back around 1988 from an italian coffee shop.
they werent so popular for home use so much back then as they are today.
anyways the thing was massive and cost a fortune - needless to say it made a few cups of coffee and they went back to the kettle and a jar of nescafe
its been sat in the back of their cupboard ever since and is still there back in its box!
perhaps i should dig it out and see how it goes, if it still does after all this time of not working!
iv no idea about coffee machines as i dont drink coffee, but if it still works i maybe stick it on ebay because i just dont have room in my little kitchen for it!

My wife bought me one of theseesspresgo machines for Christmas. Unfortunately, not had much chance to take it for a test drive, so to speak, but now that the weather is getting a bit nicer we will hopefully hit the road for a few trips soon. I will give feedback upon my return!
