Our dog bought us "Best of British" this christmas (he's good like that!).  It's a quiz game with simple rules, answering questions gets you round the board basically.  It can be played by individuals or teams.  We've really enjoyed it this Christmas.

I'm SOO spoiled for choice. I'm liking the sound of Best of British, and Logo, and Scattergories. And the Post ItNote On The Forehead game sounds a hoot!

We play the caravan version of that with playing cards - everyone has 5 cards, one fewer spoon on that table than there are players. Idea is to make a run (2/3/4/5, etc) but no need to follow suit. Dealer deals and after initial sorting dealer says "put down" and everyone passes a card to their left. Dealer says "pick up" and everyone picks up the card they have been given. Quick sort  then "put down" "pick up" etc. If you receive a card you have had before you say so and everyone gives the cards they have been given back to the dealer who deals everyone a fresh card. When you have a run you pick up a spoon. When someone picks up a spoon everyone else can pick up a spoon, and the person without a spoon is out.

Total skill - none. Tends to degenerate into violence, but still great fun!!
