I've just opened the back door to let the dog out.

He dashed out, did a handbrake turn in the snow, then dashed back into the house again. [8D]

NO, NO, NO!!
Have woken up this morning to about 1" of the white stuff again

None of the roads round here ever get gritted so it's going to be a long, slow ride to work this morning.

Please, can someone tell me that we are definitely going to get some half decent weather this year. So sick of snow, wind and rain

Miserly, at about 10pm last night we had a thunderstorm whilst snowing too! It was very weird - i've never know that before! Our poor little JR was petrified

Its vry white here this morning and snow forecast most of the day too!

Sick of it too and not far from you, as in catterick village, but mainly work in reeth up the dales and can be a scary journey.

Same sort of thing here just before midnight, only a very faint rumble of thunder but several flashes of lightning. The snow wasn't 'proper' snow though, more like very fine soft hailstone.

Sick of it too and not far from you, as in catterick village, but mainly work in reeth up the dales and can be a scary journey.

Wow! You are literally down the road from me as I am in Moulton.
Know what you mean about the roads especially in the Dales. Local council aren't great at gritting round here!

Snowed last night on the Fife coast, about an inch deep. A few light flurries this morning. Like some others we live in a cul de sac and its downhill so never see a gritter. Just changed my car so don't know what the new one will be like in snow..

Update..all snow gone..not a drop left and sun shining. Can't believe how quick it all disappeared, mind you I am not complaining.

Ours is beginning to disappear slowly - its snowing light at the moment but more is forecast this afternoon and then rain! Also the temperature is now above freezing - just!

We had quite a bit overnight, the M61 seemed to have had it bad again, so we went over the tops to Preston, it was clear there and beyond. Coming back this evening was the reverse, bad over the tops from Blackburn, pretty bad still here, and if it freezes will be lethal.
