Hi
This is our first time out in the caravan since September and it hasn't been a good start,we connected to the water supply and Rob was purging the system, he thought it was taking along time then we noticed water leaking onto the floor from under the seats,he lifted up the cushions and found the pump was gushing water out it had flooded the area under the seats!! it took ages to mop it up,Rob had to disconnect the water and remove the pump.The local caravan dealer has one costing £106 which we have arranged to collect tomorrow,Rob is always careful about draining the system when we pack up after an outing so don't know if it was frost damage or just bad luck whichever way it's expensive, has anyone else had this problem ? the pump is a Whale smartflo,to get over the shock I'm now chillin with a large glass of wine lol Rosie x

water can remain in the filter and freeze then crack the plastic and cause a leak    happened to us and we drain as a matter of course - of course! a case of s..... law

Yes it looks like that was the cause just unfortunate, we did notice that the pipe leading from the pump was bending up slightly so it was always going to retain a small amount of water..enough to cause the damage. Rosie

took my filter out  -   it is not really needed anyway - so the pipe is straight now and there have been no problems since

We removed the filter before we even used the caravan for the first time! No more issues.
