After losing our darling Cam (golden retriever), last March, aged nearly 14 and then losing our sweet Mossy (black lab), in December aged 15, we decided that we were having no more pets as it was so heartbreaking to lose them. We had previously also lost two cats, one diabetic and the other asthmatic. Every day when I got home the house felt so quiet and empty so I started looking at cat rescue centres and saw this gorgeous black and white kitten (Gizmo), who, it said was the last of his litter as he was tiny and had to be kept on special Hills food for the first year of his life. He was 16 weeks old. After telling my husband how much I missed all of our beloved pets he agreed we could have one cat. To cut a long story short.....Gizmo had a best pal called Aled.....and they both now live with us! We collected them on the 27th January and we haven't stopped laughing since! Gizmo is a little nutter who races around everywhere, making various cat noises and Aled (who is 16 months old) is very sweet and and much calmer. They play fight a lot of the time and are so funny. Gizmo is tapping my hand as I am writing this! It has brought back a lot of happy memories of our other two cats, Louis and Felix. Although we miss our dogs terribly, these two little kitties have brought a lot of happiness back into our lives. They both had a bad start in life but now they are loved and cherished.
