Well I was wrong parents say the Luxor is nice but a long way down the strip. For a central location they recommend the Bellagio, they did also say avoid Circus circus as it wasn't particuarly good even for a meal. They did also add book the big shows before you go and visit the Hoover dam if you can manage the walking.
