Congratulations! I think all parents must say that to their offspring as some time in their lives, my mother said it to us, as my OH is 16yrs older than me, but we have been together 27years and been married for over 25 of them, so parents arn't always right lol
Have a lovely Valentines day, and a nice romantic evening together,
Julia

My mother gave us 6 MONTHS, and this year we celebrate our Golden Anniversary.
I think when that is said to you, you do your best to prove them wrong
Mam said my sisters marriage was made in Heaven, they were divorced not long after
I have only ever had one valentine from my hubby and that was the year before we were married, and he knew nothing about it until he had to pay his monthly accoubt on board the oil tanker he was on. He was a junior officer and the senior staff thought it would be a good idea to send bouquets to all girlfriends of the younger ones. Allan was 21 at the time and we were told he was 'cradle snatching' (I'm four years younger). We married two days before my 19th birthday, retired 12 months ago, and three weeks ago celebrated our 43rd anniversary. We don't believe in Valentine's Day as to us evry day is Valentines Day.
