We are having to take darling son up to somewhere near shrewsbury easter satuday for a cadet course.

To give ourselves a treat we thought to stay up over night and perhaps do/see something whilst we are there.as we are a few hours from home.

Apart from West midland safari park any ideas?

it will be hubby, me and 14 year old daugher ( they like photograhy , I like wine and beer )

There is always Salop Leisure if you want a caravan fix, and plenty of shops in the town. Most places already mentioned.

love the idea of Ironbridge , didnt realise how close that is and always wanted to go there. Hubby would love the waterfall too, Daughter being an air cadet would love Cosford - thats given me great ideas , might have to make it 2 days up there

Aerospace museum is good, its freee entry but you pay to park.It has a shop and restaurant/cafe.

Ironbridge is nice, some good pubs and restaurants. Blists Hill is very good, as is Enginuity -a science type exhibit at the museum site. There is parking at the Blists Hill.

Shropshire is a lovely county, the people are nice too!

Only One attraction in Shroshire.........the George and Dragon in Much Wenlock.
