If they are looking for things to photograph, Shrewsbury has plenty of old interesting buildings, the Dingle in the Quarry usually has a good floral display and there are plenty of pubs and bars in the town. Attingham Park has the deer park and woodland and the Mytton and Mermaid is opposite. Wroxeter City is a Roman site with unusual photo opportunities and there is a vineyard. The Shropshire hills offer spectacular views and there are plenty of country pubs near or on them all. Ludlow offers plenty of excellent food and drink outlets and there is the castle. Severn valley railway. Park Hall Farm near Oswestry. LLangollen/Chirk for canals. Ironbridge Gorge.Ellesmere for lakes. Shrewsbury is pretty central so you don't have to drive for long to find any of Shropshire's attractions. Photographic or alcoholic
love the idea of Ironbridge , didnt realise how close that is and always wanted to go there. Hubby would love the waterfall too, Daughter being an air cadet would love Cosford - thats given me great ideas , might have to make it 2 days up there
Aerospace museum is good, its freee entry but you pay to park.It has a shop and restaurant/cafe.
Ironbridge is nice, some good pubs and restaurants. Blists Hill is very good, as is Enginuity -a science type exhibit at the museum site. There is parking at the Blists Hill.
