We were going to book a camping trip over Easter, but decided against it.Although it looks nice in the sun its still blooming cold.I dont think any trip is enjoyable in this sort of weather.
You can make it enjoyable, with the right gear.
Layers, EHU, fan heater, appropriate bed set up, Baileys! :-)
Admittedly, this camping lark is still "new and exciting", for us, but with the exception of January (due to simply not making the time), we have managed to get away each month, since we started last July, including waking up to a couple of inches of snow on our tent.... and we have enjoyed each trip as much as the other.
There's a lot to be said for looking out on to a white campsite, as you sit with hot cuppa of a morning, realising you have been warm, dry, and snug all night!

Gone are the days of camping in the cold.
Camped in the snow one easter with friends. Year i left school.
Oh, kids and me did quite a bit when kids were young. One year me and oh went to hayfield (where sunday nights the village was filmed). Would watch the layer of ice get lower in the water bottle on a morning, and the milk squeeze out the top of the milk container.
Those were the days!!!

I too prefer cold and sunny, rather than hot and sunny.
I would only visit my mum in the Far East at the end of November, and I'll be in my Hawaiian shirts, shorts and Crocs, when everyone else will be wearing jumpers and coats!
One of the reasons I decided to stay in this country is the weather. When I stepped out of the plane back in Sep 1979, and breathed the cool damp cold air when I landed at Heathrow around 06:00h, I said to myself, "I like it here!"

We arr just heading home having been the only caravan on site all weekend. Yes we had issues with the site and water but as for warmth just had oil filed radiator on all weekend and wrapped up whem went out. Not a lot different than.of we'd stay at.home. My mum hates the cold and wont.have gone.out. Yes it's not great but I see it that live throws enough challanges at me that I refuse to let the weather stop me from doing stuff xx

You make me think its time I stepped up to the challenge. Having only used our van twice last year it looks like I need to toughen up if I'm going to get any use out of this year.
