Have just replaced our dishwasher and it does not dry things very well. Most are still wet when the cycle is finished.

Is this usual? It is a Blomberg, our earlier was a Hotpoint and I don't remember things being so wet when I took them out.

Mine are bone (squeaky) dry when they come out.  Ours is an Indesit.  Did you empty it before the cycle was finished?

Is it on a quick wash? some don't heat and dry then!! Hope you get it sorted is there a helpline you could ring tomorrow.

We have a Bosch and even on the sort 30minute wash it dries everything. Are you leaving it long enough after the programme has finished? Another thing to check is whether the rinse aid is working OK as this acts to repel water from the surfaces to help drying and stop marks.

Are you packing it with bowls or cups laying flat and collecting water during the wash cycle?

We also have Bosch and never had any problems

I would also guess loading. Don't overload otherwise items won't clean and won't dry. If using a quick wash program item often won't be bone dry like a full wash, just leave them in there for a while longer

Never heard of Blomberg so maybe google it and see if its a common issue with your model

I've got a Zanussi and it doesn't dry plastic containers very well (I put them on the top shelf which it recommends in the instructions) and sometimes leaves spots of water in saucepans. I do use the 35 minute cycle all the time, I don't think I've ever tried the others.

it's the steam at the end of the cycle that dries the stuff, leave it in there a while after it's finished.
you could also see if there is steam by opening the door straight away when it's finished it's cycle.

Well I tried it again and loaded it in a better way and it was fine. I think it is the plastic inside as the water remains on it in dips etc. As the racks can't be removed it makes a lot of surfaces to sit on. But left it for half an hour or so and it was dry enough to say it is going to be OK.

Thanks for help as I would not want a dishwasher that did not work.

I too would prefer to just wash up by hand but OH wants his dishwasher, I don't normally get involved just that I wanted a cup from it and noticed it was a bit wet inside !
