I can remember as a child sitting on the beach and sharing a waffle with my mam or brother but the last time I went they were building a new apartment block and supermarket and the little waffle shop was nowhere to be seen. I know I am going back a few years (well quite a lot actually!!!) but has the shop moved to somewhere else or did it just close

If you mean the one by Corner Cafe I remember it well from when I was a kid. I don't know if it's moved elsewhere but there's a waffle stall on the promenade near the harbour.

That particular waffle shop is long gone, but there are a few stalls on the south side which sell them.

There are both waffle and fresh doughnuts stands in Scarborough. Whitby is where my childhood memories of waffles started!

A very nice one selling all kinds of fancy delicious toppings on their waffles can be found about opposite the Life boat station in Filey, fairly reasonably priced too, I love those with toffee sauce, sliced fresh banana and whipped cream, yummy!
