Hi all I recently had a problem with my laptop and had to do a factory reset, since then I cant open a link from my emails, I am running windows 7 ie 10,and used Microsoft office outlook 2007. I get this message - THIS OPERATION HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO RESTRICTIONS IN EFFECT ON THIS COMPUTER. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR.
any help would be greatly appreciated as its doing my head in!!!!!!!!!!
Cliff, if this link works, it may be just links in your Outlook.
The reset may have put it back to a standard default setting with links disabled.
I'd open Outlook and look at Options etc to see if you need to re-enable a setting. It's years since I used Outlook and I can't remember specifically where its settings are.

My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it
This can also be symptoms of another browser like google chrome being installed and then removed, registry entries are not removed correctly by the uninstalled, causing the problem. A repair of IE can help re-register the files, so can the fix its available from Microsoft.
