I'm mixed on Will-i-am. At times I find him funny, but other times cringe-worthy. His constant need to be tweeting on his phone was irritating to say the least, bordering on downright rude (but that coming from me, someone in their 40s, and I can also see how it would appeal to the younger audience) and a couple of his selection/elimination choices were baffling. On the other hand both the wife and I thought that Will-i-ams final and semi-final 'duets' with his team were brilliantly staged. As I said, mixed on him but overall I do think he adds a different dynamic to the show that the others don't.
As for the winner, I'll admit I though Leah had it won, but I was pleased for Andrea. Her voice is amazing and so well controlled but I was hoping she'd do something a bit more upbeat in the final i.e something along the lines of her quarter-final song (more traditional Irish with the group behind her).
I also though Leah was amazing, such a versatile and unique voice. I'd be shocked if she doesn't get a recoding contract despite not winning, and in the long run I'd bet on her being more successful than Andrea if she works at it. I think her loss comes down to one thing, the demographics of the voting public. Leah's musical style probably appeals more to a younger audience, but on a live Saturday night vote it's the older audience that's sat in front of their TV with the phone to hand.

It really makes me want to turn it off. I cant believe that the producers allow him his phone, especially after his stunt a few weeks ago where he told twitter the result before the live audience!
