Does anyone know of a travel insurance that covers for epilepsy please. My daughter (aged 14) has just been diagnosed and has started medication and we are going to France in just over 3 weeks and I've tried a couple of sites on the internet who won't cover her epilepsy.
Not sure about epilepsy, but my OH has lots of health issues and I used comparison sites (think moneysupermarket was the cheapest). They had a link for any health problems, then they sent quotes based on your answers. Maybe also contact any support associations for epilepsy. Good luck.
Thanks for your replies. It comes out a bit expensive at the moment as she was only diagnosed last week and started medication. She has had 4 seizures in the last 5 weeks - one being in the consultant's office after he had told us she had epilepsy, so she had to be admitted on the ward for a couple of hours to make sure she was ok. Hopefully, the medication is going to work as she has only had 2 absence seizures on the meds and her doses have to be upped over the next few weeks. I will try to get another quote in a couple of weeks before we go and hopefully she has been seizure free and cost will be cheaper.
Have a look at Justtravelcover.com. I have a couple of serious health issues and insurance was becoming prohibative to having a holiday abroad.
I am just back from Italy and this company was half the cost of others with the same level of cover.
