OH threw his teddies out the pram because I had told him earlier that Stones started on stage at 9.30, so he could not find it in any channel on tv at that time.
Had me wearing the remote batteries out looking for it, then he took over. Just could not get it that they were not on at that time.
He has not said anything about what their performance was like as I went off to bed and left him to sulk, then later heard it on. But I did tell him that they were nothing more than a set of geriatric wrinklies now so don't expect much.
Hey give them a break they are only getting 250 grand for it its hardly worth the bother...
And by the way its Sir mick to you lot (soul sold for a gong)
The old guy in the green shirt spent most of his time stood on an air vent in the stage floor trying to keep cool...And I noticed as they were coming off stage at the end a few wobbles and stumbles...Time to give it up lads...
Not a fan of the Stones but decided to watch them last night...Kept nodding off after being up since 4am..A 12hr shift...4 lagers...and two stiff nips of whiskey...So can't comment on weather they were good or not...
Jelboy.

Didn't see it but the BBC are telling us it was fantastic. Michael Eavis is telling us that it was the highlight of Glasto history "without a shadow of a doubt"

........on both counts it kind of comes under the category 'well they would do wouldn't they'
The BBC are the Glastonbury station and never criticise anyone. Eavis paid a fortune for them so no surprises there.
The giveaway was presenter Mark Ratcliffes reaction afterwards. He was almost laughing and then tried to backtrack. His bosses wouldn't have liked that.

! Still the best band in the world at 70
Precisely. Name another band of their age that's been going 50 years and still packing the crowds in. Playing a set on a hot stage is physically demanding.
There's been criticism of Ronnie and Keith, but they always were the clowns. Mick and Charlie were the serious members of the band. If they wheeled Keith on in a bath chair people would still pay to see them. The Stones wouldn't be the same without Keef.
