Just got back from a great weekend at Elvaston thank you to all the people that organized it wad were on hand to answer any questions and make sure everyone was safe. Any on know how much they collected in the digger bucket (just out of interest)
------------- Lynda or it could be Andrew just depends most probably Lynda xx
Glad to hear you enjoyed it. We had a great time on Chichester and it was good to meet so many of you.
This was the biggest Elvaston meet in many a long year which meant your stewards had to work their socks off coping with everything from helping put tents up to treating an overheated pet rabbit!
Please will everyone join in with me in thanking all the stewards for all their hard work over some very long hours? Thank you, too, to all the UKCS members who helped make the weekend such a success.
We've just got back too, Thanks to Pam and and staff members,Stewards and everyone lese involved with the Rally from both our groups, Mitsubishi Delica owners club and the Teardrop club of Great Britain, Great weekend and most of us are now home applying aftersun !
------------- Doing as little as possible for as much as possible...
There were just over 200 units pre booked altogether, UKCS, Teardrop Club, Delica Club and public campers. From memory there were over 100 units which turned up on spec, not felt up to looking at all the paperwork yet and can't do it today as I have my lung scan later so can't concentrate on anything!
Will look through my records, going back over 30 years [how CAN I be that old and have been doing this for so long!] and see if 2013 had the highest number of Elvaston campers.
Have had a look at figures from previous years. In the early 1990s we regularly had over 250 units as The Caravan Club rallied with us and, one year, had their national at Elvaston.
A write up and some pix here, starring Dave, James and Chichester, LOL!
