I'm travelling from the northeast to fakenham with my caravan, route planner has given me 2 options, off at Newark a17, or continue on further down the turn off to fakenham.
First option 198 miles .
Second 218 miles , but only 4 minutes extra.
A17 can be a bit of a nightmare with slow moving vehicles etc. Prob easier with caravan to go A1 to Peterborough and then A47 (some is dual carriageway) to Kings Lynn. short bit of A149 and then turn off at Knights Hill roundabout and take A148 to Fakenham. Which site are you going to at Fakenham?

Which route gives you more opportunity to get off and relax somewhere if the traffic gets bad.
We are off to Cornwall on 27th going down the M5 and A30 or A38 when all the first lot of parent/kids are going the same way. We have done the route regularly every year and know where we can come off the main roads and have a break. We have a selection depending on where we get stuck.
