Just wondered if any members have used hotels at Glasgow airport and which they would recommend.
Used the Premier Inn last time and the airport shuttle was a bit of a faff. This time we can't consider walking as we'll have my mum with us.
Other two options seems to be Holiday Inn, or its sister Express hotel. Google maps seems to suggest the HI is closer but Tripadvisor seems to indicate the HI is very tired looking. Is there a pedestrian route from either that doesn't show on the maps?
I'm also wondering if HI or HIE have a drop off zone as we're planning on dropping most of us off at the hotel then OH will take car to the secure car park (the car park we've used before is working out cheaper than hotel's package which is either the same self park option or valet park with an unnamed 'secure' car park).
Not much help to you as it's a while back but route from Express (couldn't afford HI) on foot was convoluted. Suggest contact the Airport first re routes/ disabled issues and HIE and HI re help available.
Good luck!

Thanks. As we're booking a fair bit in advance there's only a fiver's difference between the two (HI more expensive). Thought it may be convoluted on foot from HIE as we walked to PI from terminal after dropping the car off and found it to be very convoluted so we got the shuttle bus.
HI is literally right across the road so virtually no walking involved, you could park the car first and get the shuttle bus to drop you at the airport then cross the road to the hotel. the express is a bit of a hike on foot. if you have luggage. Cant comment on the decor of either. You could also consider the park stay and fly deals at the Erskine Bridge Hotel, dont know how they compare cost or decor wise though.
We used Campanile Glasgow airport Hotel in June. We got a deal for Bed and breakfast,Carparking for the week and Transfers to and from Airport and as we had an early flight they supplied a taxi as no one to drive the minibus.
Its a few miles from the airport but doesn't matter as they do the transfers.
Just phoned on return and they come and get you.
We got it through laterooms for £69, considering the on airport parking would have cost us £45 alone.
Really good as took all the hassle out of an early flight.
