It never ceases to amaze me how difficult towns and cities can be to navigate. Signage seems to be designed solely for people who are familiar with the area already, and are prepared in advance for which lane they need to be in, for example. Signs are often painted in the road, where they can't be seen if the traffic is heavy, or the road is wet, or it's dark, and how are you meant to work out instantaneously whether you want say the A123 to W'ton or the A234 to O'fd whilst still trying to read the speed limits, no entries, bus lanes, obey traffic lights ,pedestrian crossings and yellow boxes!!

Living in London you get used to cameras being present on bus lanes, junctions and even monitoring parking. Bus lanes can be tricky as they may have various time restrictions. If I'm unsure or can't see a time operation I won't run the risk as the fine is £130.

I have noticed, there is more and more sign over load. Signes are easily missed, it's impossible to look at all signes at once. I hate it when directions are on the road. Unfortunately, X_ray vision is not on my skills list.

There are at times too many signs which at times can contradict each other. This has been
highlighted in the past by.    Rac and AA.    Also this has caused accidents.
