I have a mobility scooter and it had two 12 v think there 85ah battery's there wired into a loom that turns the wiring into 24v.
I have bought an mp3 motorbike gadget that can also charge my phone up. Iv seen it fitted on some scooters when manufactured so I know it can go on the scooter the problem is. Do I connect it to just one 12v battery will it be a problem one battery having more power drained than the other. Or do I wire it posstive to one battery negative to the other is that still 12v or does it then become 24v. Thanks for any help

It's nice to be important but its more important to be nice
your 2 batteries will be wired in series Ie a link from positive to negative from 1 battery to the other & then you will have 24 v at the remaining pos & neg posts. you will need to wire your gadget to the pos & neg of 1 battery only
you should not have any problems as the batteries will automaticly equalise,+ the drain by your 12v gadget will be minimal

Thank you it's only an MP3 player with speakers built in to the mirrors and it says in the instructions to wire it directly to the battery but it presumes you only have one battery

There not there all 24v bulbs for a wagon it says so in the hand book . one light is 12v the front head light but it has a converter right behind it in the case. So can't wire to that. The wires are long so will easily reach and cable ties will keep them in place just want to make sure it on the right battery
Thanks Wendy
