had this for3wks doctor gave me diclofenac cream which has eased the pain but i still have the problem with my middlefinger
on right hand i still cant bent it on its own but i can curl all 4 fingers with a bit of pain--dr said other choices to try are injection or surgery as the cream was quite effective i said i would like to carry on with the cream for a bit longer & see how it goes and he agreed that was best as there is some risk with the alternatives

My mum had this. Lots of helpful info on treatment etc on NHS website http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/trigger-finger/Pages/Introduction.aspx but I can't recall what her treatment was. It's painful, I hope you can get it sorted so it doesn't spoil your enoyment of camping.

Just had mine treated with an injection in October it's not 100% but it doesn't pain and I do have full movement.

I had trigger thumb which was operated on. It's fine now.

I had trigger finger about 6 years ago along with carpal tunnel problems. Had operation for both at the same time and everything was back to normal within 4 weeks. The operation was done under local anesthetic and only took about 15 minutes. I now have trigger in little finger but as yet it isn't causing any problems other when knitting and it gets stuck every now and then. When the time is right I won't hesitate to have the operation again.

I had trigger thumb and 1 Corticosteroids injection seems to have cured it.

My daughter had trigger thumbs on both hands...we were all set up for her to have the op on the worse one and on the day of the op, the consultant had a look at her and it had gone! My Dad also had a trigger thumb and had it operated on.
